| Establishing the 'what, how and why' a person wishes to work on a particular issue
is often started during the protagonist-selection phase. In addition to this, a 'contract'
might be agreed to help the director and the protagonist to pinpoint more clearly the
un-met need or act hunger that the person wishes the psychodrama to address. For example:
"I want to be able to stand up for myself at work." This is sometimes referred
to as 'establishing the therapeutic alliance.'
Towards the end of the psychodrama the director is then able to use the information and spontaneity from the action phase to return to the contract. This may then take the form of a role training scene. |
