Some training sessions are followed by process-analysis or 'processing' in which the performance of the trainee psychodrama director is evaluated. The main purpose of processing is to improve the professional skills of students in training. This usually involves direct observation feedback by the trainer of the trainee. Clients, after a period of recovery, are invited to participate in the supervision session and listen to the feedback given to the student director. Processing differs from the sharing phase of psychodrama, focusing on evaluation in a more detached manner which is often in striking contrast to the earlier accepting nature of the sharing phase. Kellermann has produced a processing checklist which is a systematic aid in evaluating the professional skills of psychodrama directors. Processing: Many engage in sociometric processing where you account for ways the drama facilitated the role needs and act hunger of group members, as well as evaluating changes in role repertoire, and social atom of the protagonist(s). I like to identify the criterion on which the protagonist was chosen and share perceptions we have about the criterion on which we were chosen to portray certain roles. Ann Hale.99 |
